The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Assessor to manage a caseload of learners and support them through high‑quality training and assessment. In this role, you will help design and deliver engaging learning programmes that enable participants to successfully achieve their qualifications, including full Apprenticeship Standards. Working closely with employers, you will play a vital part in developing learners, guiding them to meet their goals and inspiring them to overcome any barriers to success. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, conduct and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify realistic learning priorities and, in liaison with the employer, develop individual learning plans and agree realistic completion targets. This will include ensuring that employers have a full understanding of the requirement for Apprentices to complete 20% off the job training.
* Develop, manage and maintain good relationships with external partners, local employers and appropriate agencies to recruit learners.
* Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers to promote learning and timely achievement of the agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.
* Assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviours of a set apprenticeship caseload.
* Where required support the assessment of commercial NVQ qualifications.
* Develop business with existing employers and identifying new opportunities.
* Work in a team to plan and deliver a structured scheme of work and develop lesson plans that meet the learning needs of learners and the delivery and assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviours.
* Support the continued evaluation of learning needs and objectives, through regular review and attendance as required at best practice groups.
Qualifications
* Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering - Essential
* English and Maths GCSE grade C or above- or equivalent - Essential
* TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards- Essential
* Teaching qualification – Desirable
* Award in Internal Verification or V1- Desirable
Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus bank holidays
Contractual hours: 37 hours per week
Basis: Full time, Permanent
