Senior Data Officer (Student Data & Statutory Reporting)
We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional to take a leading role in the delivery of student data reporting for funding and statutory purposes. The role involves managing Student Loans Company (SLC) reporting, supporting the University’s Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) implementation, and contributing to the delivery and quality assurance of wider statutory student data returns.
Responsibilities
* Act as operational lead for SLC reporting, ensuring student and course data is accurate, timely and compliant with external requirements.
* Take ownership of SLC‑related activity across the student lifecycle, working closely with Academic Registry and Student Finance to resolve data issues.
* Support the implementation of the Lifelong Learning Entitlement, translating policy, guidance and technical specifications into operational practice.
* Co‑create processes, advise colleagues and support institutional readiness through changing funding environments.
* Contribute to wider statutory student data returns, adapting to regulatory change and supporting data interpretation and assurance work.
Qualifications and Experience
* Hands‑on experience of Student Loans Company reporting.
* Experience supporting regulatory change, contributing to HESA or other statutory returns, or working with emerging funding models is advantageous.
* Ability to work in a regulated, deadline‑driven environment with practical experience and specialist knowledge.
* Willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
