What You Will Do

1. Perform TIG welding and brazing on aluminium products
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute welds accurately
3. To set-up and operate TIG welding equipment safely, to ensure optimum performance
4. Conduct inspection on welds to ensure they meet company and aerospace standards
5. Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines
6. Continue ongoing internal and external training to welding certification requirements
7. Ensure working environment is clean, organised and meets safety and company standards

Shifts:
This role requires flexibility to work in rotating shifts:

8. Morning: 6:00 AM–1:45 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 6:00 AM–12:00 PM (Friday).

9. Afternoon: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 12:15 PM–5:15 PM (Friday).

Qualifications We Prefer

26. NVQ/City & Guilds or similar vocational qualification in welding & fabrication or relevant engineering subject (Time served will also be considered depending on relevant experience)
27. Proven experience as a TIG Welder with significant experience with aluminium products
28. Familiar with thin gauge sheet metal welding 0.5 – 3.5mm
29. Experience working to high tolerance
30. Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
31. Experience working to certified or highly regulated standards is preferred
32. Welding certification standards would be advantageous but not essential
33. Experience in aerospace, motorsport or similar industries is advantageous but not essential

Required Security Clearance:
This role may involve access to export-controlled information and hardware. An export license may be required to comply with applicable laws and regulations. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory security checks, export license approval, and, if applicable, the completion of a non-disclosure agreement.
