Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead and develop their estimating function from their Aberdeenshire base. As Estimating Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving competitive tender strategies, managing the estimating team, and supporting senior leadership in securing new work. This role combines hands-on estimating expertise with strategic and people management responsibility. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and mentor the estimating team, supporting development and performance Oversee the full tender process from initial enquiry through to submission Review tenders for bid suitability and contribute to bid strategies, win themes, and programmes Allocate estimating resources to meet deadlines and business priorities Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries and review returns Ensure accurate first-principles estimating aligned with market conditions Oversee tender deliverables including risk registers, qualifications, and commercial summaries Provide regular reporting on bid pipeline and performance Support senior management with business development, frameworks, and design & build bids This Estimating Manager role would suit a commercially astute construction professional with strong leadership skills and experience within civils or main contracting.
