Connected Engineering is proud to be working as the exclusive recruitment partner to a well-established manufacturing organisation seeking to appoint a Process Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing existing systems, identifying opportunities for optimisation, and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall operational performance.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will support automation initiatives, deliver measurable process improvements, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse production schedules, workflows, layouts, and resource utilisation to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Conduct time-and-motion studies, work measurement, and labour utilisation assessments.
* Recommend and implement changes to processes, layouts, or equipment to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of automation and control systems used within industrial processes.
* Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies where appropriate.
* Facilitate improvement workshops and training sessions to promote best practices across teams.
* Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor operational performance.
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and operational teams to deliver cost savings and performance improvements.
* Prepare reports, cost-benefit analyses, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Experience working with automation and industrial control systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of delivering process improvements.
* Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and/or Six Sigma is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
