Job Description: Ophthalmic Support Worker

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will perform a range of technical tests and diagnostic techniques to assist clinicians in determining appropriate clinical pathways and treatments for ophthalmic patients.
The postholder will support ophthalmic nursing staff in delivering care and ensuring protocols and procedures are followed, particularly related to specific sub-specialty integrated care pathways.
Responsibilities include advising patients to encourage self-management and providing training to ensure safe use and compliance with treatment plans and equipment.
