ERP Business Analyst x 2- Ballymena - Mid East Antrim Borough Council Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is seeking two ERP Business Analysts in Ballymena to support the successful implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning system. One role will focus on HR and the other on Payroll, acting as the vital link between business needs and technical delivery to ensure the system is effectively designed, configured, and embedded About the role:
1. £20.98 per hour
2. 37 hours per week
3. Fixed term contract until 31st March 2026
4. Based in Ballymena
Duties:
5. Engage with service area stakeholders to capture detailed business requirements specific to HR or Payroll processes.
6. Analyse and document current and future state processes to support system configuration and functional design.
7. Work closely with the ERP implementation team and vendor to align system setup with defined business requirements.
8. Act as a key liaison between operational teams and the technical project team, ensuring clarity of requirements and addressing issues throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Design and execute test scenarios, including user acceptance testing (UAT), system testing, and defect resolution tracking.
10. Support data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure clean migration of legacy HR/payroll data to the new ERP system.
11. Assist in assessing the impact of change on service users and contribute to training, communications, and transition planning.
12. Develop and maintain business process documentation, functional specifications, and system change logs.
Criteria:
13. Have a degree or post graduate qualification in any discipline, and can demonstrate 2 years' experience in the areas below
14. OR can demonstrate 4 years experience gathering and analysing functional requirements for systems or digital projects
15. Strong understanding of either HR or Payroll processes and compliance requirements
16. Ability to develop process maps, documentation, and user stories
17. These competencies are the top 6 competencies from the Operational Level of the Local Government Competency Framework which have been identified and prioritised for effective performance in this role.
18. A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
