ABOUT THE ROLE
As a PR Manager at Megabit, you’ll take a hands‑on lead in developing and executing PR strategies for our games. Working closely with internal teams and partner studios you will secure impactful coverage and build strong, direct relationships with press with a focus on UK, Europe, and Rest of World markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Build and maintain strong, hands‑on relationships with key press and select influencers across the UK, Europe, and Rest of World markets.
* Proactively secure coverage and editorial opportunities that support the goals of our campaigns and elevate our games in core and emerging markets.
* Develop and execute clear PR strategies for assigned titles, working closely with wider teams to ensure consistent messaging and positioning.
* Coordinate interviews, previews, hands‑on sessions, and feature opportunities directly with journalists and creators.
* Craft press materials, including press releases, media alerts, FAQs, and briefing documents.
* Collaborate with the wider publishing team to ensure PR is fully integrated into broader marketing and go‑to‑market plans.
* Monitor coverage and sentiment, report performance to internal stakeholders, and use insights to optimise future activity.
* Support partner studios in sharing their stories, advocating for their titles, and ensuring alignment with Megabit’s wider communications approach.
* Represent Megabit and our games in media briefings, events, and cross‑functional meetings.
* Work closely with our Senior Communications Manager to complement activity in the Americas with cohesive global planning.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Significant experience working directly with press in the games or entertainment industry, with a strong network of journalist relationships in the UK and Europe.
* Proven track record of driving impactful coverage through hands‑on, relationship‑based PR.
* Demonstrable success in planning and delivering PR campaigns across multiple markets.
* Confident communicator who enjoys speaking directly with media and acting as a trusted advocate for the teams and titles they represent.
* Highly collaborative, positive, and proactive — someone who thrives in a small and hands‑on but highly engaged team.
* Strong organisational and project‑management skills, able to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines.
* Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, agile environment with shifting priorities.
* Passionate about games, with a curiosity for industry trends, audience behaviour, and emerging opportunities.
* A self‑starter who brings energy, initiative, and thoughtful ideas to the table.
ROLE & LOCATION
This role is a permanent role based at the Megabit Offices in London, with flexibility for hybrid working.
