Overview
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same and play an important role in day-to-day store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will continually look for ways to improve service in your store through on-the-job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, the store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* I know my customers and serve them with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Actively encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to ensure tasks meet customer needs.
* Apply training to work safely and to high standards.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to help create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand the role you play in delivering profit.
* Uphold company values, welcome everyone, follow policies, and clock in/out accurately to ensure correct pay.
* Follow safety and security procedures, wear safety equipment where available, and follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and communicate clearly with customers about what you are doing.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized store with clear aisles.
* Occasionally run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager.
* Follow all training to keep yourself, colleagues and the store safe and legal.
* If this store has a Post Office Local, duties may include day-to-day Post Office operations and you may need to pass a Post Office Financial and criminal conviction background check; if checks fail, the offer may be withdrawn.
