Position: High School Chemistry Teacher
Location: Chelmsford High School
General Description
Chelmsford High School is seeking an energetic and collaborative high school Science teacher certified in Chemistry. As the landscape of student enrollment changes, the teacher may see a variety of Chemistry course loads. The Chemistry Science teacher teaches Grade 10-12 students, working closely with the Science Coordinator and will:
* Utilize current Chemistry coursework pacing guides as a foundation for instruction.
* Actively ensure student safety through hands‑on laboratory settings.
* Teach students how to use computer programs and hardware (i.e., Vernier, Logger Pro, etc.) in the context of a lab setting.
* Grade assignments, keep records of grades, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
* Create lesson plans that are standards and curriculum aligned.
* Utilize digital software (Google Apps for Education, ClassKick, etc.) to augment student learning.
* Read and stay abreast of current topics in Chemistry.
* Participate in Industry connections related to Innovation Pathways.
* Work with your coordinator to ensure initiatives are met.
* Support students and parents with course‑related questions and issues.
* Perform such other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned.
* Candidates should have a strong foundation in the Science & Engineering Practices and foster a dynamic and exciting learning environment.
* Participate in the high school's dual enrollment program.

Chelmsford High School is a public high school located in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, established in 1927. The school is based on a three‑house system. The houses are named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and John Whittier, three well‑known New England writers. Each house has two to three school counselors, a dean, and an office. All students are assigned a house at the beginning of their freshman year. Chelmsford High School offers opportunities in high‑quality academics, community service, performing arts experiences, championship‑level athletics, and mentor relationships in a technologically rich environment.
