At Soar Mill Cove Hotel, a 4-star, family-run coastal retreat in South Devon, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and lead our dedicated team in delivering exceptional, locally inspired cuisine.

Is currently working as a Sous Chef or has solid experience in the role at a 4-star level or higher
Has a genuine passion for delivering outstanding food with a strong eye for detail
Brings dedication, perseverance, creativity, and a strong work ethic to the kitchen

Maintains exemplary hygiene standards
Stays calm under pressure with a solutions-focused, can-do approach
Is open & honest
Your Key Responsibilities
Support and lead the kitchen team, especially in the absence of the Head Chef
Inspire and mentor junior chefs, leading by example at all times
Ensure consistently high levels of customer care and food quality
Oversee stock rotation and manage produce with care to minimise waste
Monitor stock transfers and maintain accurate records
Ensure all items are properly dated and labelled
Uphold the highest standards of food safety and health & safety compliance
Work in accordance with the Food Safety Act, Health and Safety Regulations, and Licensing laws
