We have an exciting 12 month opportunity for anyone with the relevant Social Work experience to become an Deputy Consultant Social Worker. This role is pivotal in developing the next generation of outstanding Social Workers.
What is Frontline?
is England’s largest social work charity. Everything they do aims to make life better for children who need a social worker, to help keep them safe from harm and to give them every possible chance to fulfil their potential. They do this through developing excellent social work practice, leadership and innovation.
One of the ways they make this happen is by recruiting and teaching a new, diverse generation of social workers specialising in child protection to join our Frontline programme. The programme is a three-year social work training programme for graduates and career changers.
What is a Deputy Consultant Social Worker?
As a qualified and experienced social worker, you will make a significant contribution to staff development by supporting our social work students. You will support a hub of five participants who are undertaking their Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work. The Deputy CSW supports the line manager in developing the participants’ social work practice, offering co-working and shadowing opportunities and deputising for the Consultant Social Worker during any periods of absence. The role is to support, assess and guide students, supervising and developing these individuals core social work skills to ensure they start their social work journey with a best practice framework in mind.
The role is an excellent development opportunity for social workers who have aspirations of being managers or practice educators in the future.
