Key Responsibilities
Location: South Molton Store, EX36 3LH
Contract Type: Permanent
Contracted hours: 16.5 Hours per week This vital role will be assisting our customers with picking and packing their online orders correctly and efficiently and delivering customer service excellence.
What you will be doing:
Order Dispatch
* Picking customer orders from the warehouse, yard area and shop floor.
* Packaging of customer orders, utilising the most suited range of available packaging options
* Dispatching of customer orders through either an automatic or manual consigning program
Stock Control
* Accurately manage stock within the order dispatch location.
* Check goods delivered in and put away into storage or pick faces.
* Re-stock pick faces from stored stock
Teamworking
* Effective communication with colleagues.
* Feedback to the eCommerce team to help problem solve and improve our service
The ideal candidate:
* A conscientious individual with excellent attention to detail
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word & Excel
* A multitasker with a positive, can-do attitude
* A team player with strong communication skills
* Previous experience working in order processing, goods-in, or a fulfilment role is preferred, but not essential.
* Ability to work effectively within a team
* Flexible in your approach
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• A genuine interest in customer service and retail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards
• You'll be confident, approachable, and self-motivated, with a flexible and team-oriented attitude. Experience in customer-facing roles is a bonus, but not essential, we're happy to support your development.
