We are seeking a Welding Inspector based in Banbridge to be part of our growing team. | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of welds and fabricated components in accordance with drawings, codes, and standards. Verify welding procedures (WPS/PQR/WPQ) and ensure compliance during production. Perform or coordinate NDT (e.g., DPI, MPI & RT) with third-party testing as required. Maintain accurate inspection and test records, weld maps, and traceability documentation. Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. Ensure inspection equipment calibration and correct usage. Support continuous improvement in workshop quality and fabrication processes |QUALIFICATION| Essential CSWIP 3.0 Visual Weld Inspector Desirable CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector | EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE | Essential Time served and/or certified in welding, mechanical or fabrication engineering (or equivalent) Minimum 2 years experience in welding inspection with pipe fabrication and/or structural steel workshops. Desirable NDT Level 2 certification Training or certification in H&S (First Aid, IOSH, Forklift etc) | ABILITIES & SKILLS | Essential Analytical Thinking: Capable of interpreting specifications, standards, and test results to make sound quality judgments. Communication: Clear written and verbal communication with welders, supervisors, and clients to resolve quality issues effectively. Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventive measures. Teamwork & Leadership: Works collaboratively with production, QA/QC, and engineering teams while maintaining an objective quality focus.
