Then join P&G as a Front-End Software Developer at our Newcastle Innovation Centre, where you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting best-in-class IT testing solutions. Here you’ll be responsible for developing the front end of innovative applications, focusing on creating an optimal user experience for product design, formulation, and testing.

Once these applications are launched, your role will evolve to include ongoing enhancements and operational support, emphasizing a data-first architecture that maximizes flexibility and integrates seamlessly with essential systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to transformative solutions that impact our global operations.

What Success Looks Like:

1. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create exceptional front-end interfaces.
2. Transform system requirements into maintainable, high-quality code with cross-functional teams.
3. Ensure compliance with quality assurance and IT policies, delivering robust solutions.
4. Design and execute test plans to identify software defects and ensure specifications are met.
5. Follow the software development life cycle (SDLC) and CI/CD strategies for seamless deployment.
6. Monitor software performance post-deployment to enhance user experiences.
7. Implement new features and fixes in partnership with business stakeholders.
8. Continuously improve the codebase and DevOps processes while staying informed on industry trends.
9. Share best practices and contribute to team expertise.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

This role is a technical, non-management position, which requires the following:

14. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
15. Experience in front-end software engineering and requirements management.
16. Solid understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
17. Proficiency in at least one front-end framework, preferably React.
18. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
19. Interest in leveraging IT to drive innovation.

Desirable

20. Familiarity with bug tracking tools and version control systems.
21. Understanding of Information Security and Operational Excellence.
