Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced property lawyer to join our growing property team at our Maidenhead offices. Remote working is available, and relocation is open for this position.
The ideal candidate will handle a range of commercial and residential property work, or exclusively commercial property if preferred. We welcome confident, well-presented, friendly, and approachable solicitors or experienced legal executives with excellent communication skills.
The right candidate will have:
* A professional qualification (solicitor, FILEX, or Licensed Conveyancer)
* At least 4 years of solid experience in commercial property
* Excellent people skills and team spirit
* Good organizational, time management, and IT skills
* Attention to detail
* Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure
* High standards of client care and communication
* A strong billing history
* Desire to contribute to the growth of the property department
Experience in bringing referral sources and marketing interest is a plus but not essential. If working primarily from home, the candidate must be capable of working independently without supervision.
The job:
Despite a subdued conveyancing market, our property work continues to grow, with anticipated significant growth in conveyancing cases over the next 6-12 months. This role will support that growth.
The position involves a flexible role within the team, potentially covering:
* Acting for property investors (essential)
* Commercial property work
* Some straightforward residential property work (if capable)
Location:
Remote working, hybrid options, or based at one of our four branch offices: Salisbury, Andover, Amesbury, or Fordingbridge.
The team:
You will be part of a 27-member property team, divided into four specialized groups: residential, commercial, property investor, and leasehold (lease extension and enfranchisement).
The property investor team:
This fast-growing niche works with investors and developers across England and Wales, handling residential and commercial properties. We expect this team's workload to increase significantly over the next five years.
Salary:
Market rate, dependent on qualifications and experience.
