Job Title: Mortgage Administrator / Trainee Mortgage Adviser

Reports To: Mortgage Operations Manager

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Office based, Milton Keynes

Collective Financial Planning are a successful financial planning company based in Milton Keynes, with an expanding team of experienced Financial Advisers.

As a Mortgage Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting both our advisers and clients throughout the mortgage journey. From managing applications and coordinating documentation to liaising with lenders and ensuring cases progress smoothly, you will be at the heart of delivering a first‑class customer experience. This role would suit an individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has excellent attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a collaborative and growing team.


Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and process mortgage applications from initial enquiry through to completion.
* Liaise with clients, lenders, solicitors, surveyors, and insurers to obtain required information and updates.
* Monitor application progress and proactively follow up on outstanding requirements.
* Maintain accurate client records and update CRM and case management systems.
* Support mortgage advisers with appointment preparation and client communications.
* Produce suitability reports, illustrations, and mortgage documentation where required.
* Assist with general administrative duties within the mortgage team.


Required Skills & Experience

* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple cases and advisers simultaneously
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and CRM systems
* Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements
* Experience working in financial services or lending environment
* Knowledge of UK mortgage products and processes
* Experience using mortgage sourcing or case management systems


Qualifications

* GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths

Working Conditions

* Office-based – Milton Keynes
* Standard working hours 9 – 5pm, Monday – Friday
