Special educational needs learning support assistant We are working with a fantastic Alternative provision in Nottingham area to find an experienced, enthusiastic and naturally caring experienced Learning support assistant to join them on a temp to perm, full time basis. Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with disaffected pupils in a school or other alternative setting. An passion for working with pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding role. To be a successful Learning support assistant, you will need – To have previous experience working with children with SEND and/or challenging behaviour. To have sensitivity and understanding To be patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. To have active listening skills To be able to look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare. To be flexible and open to change To have excellent verbal communication skills To be able to adapt teaching support according to student's needs.
