We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Events Team based in Tamworth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment within one of Speedy's most dynamic divisions.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will represent Speedy to a select portfolio of major account customers, ensuring their needs are understood and exceeded. Your focus will be on strengthening existing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining Speedy's reputation as the trusted partner for complex event and specialist hire projects.
You will support high-profile, time-critical jobs across the country, delivering tailored equipment and service packages for major events, infrastructure projects, and specialist sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of major accounts
* Develop strategic account plans to increase revenue and engagement
* Identify and pursue new opportunities within existing accounts and target markets
* Act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring a seamless experience
* Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, operations, engineering) to deliver solutions
* Track performance, analyze data, and report on business development progress
* Promote the Events Team’s capabilities internally and externally
* Support and deliver on our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
What We’re Looking For
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Strong organizational and time-management abilities
* Commercial acumen with experience in strategic account development
* Proficiency with IT systems and data analysis (PC literate)
* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
* Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
* Full UK Driving Licence
