Title: Visitor Assistant. Location: Conisbrough Castle, Castle Lodge, Conisbrough, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN12 3BU. Salary: £12.71 per hour / 14 hours, April to October; 0 hours November to March. Job type: Permanent. Ref: 16413.
We are looking for a Visitor Assistant to join us at Conisbrough Castle working 14 hours per week in the summer season and zero hours per week in the winter season.
No history background? No problem. What is important to us is a passion for people and excellent customer service. You will enjoy working with others as part of a team and understand what makes excellent customer service to deliver an engaging visitor experience to a diverse audience.
As a Conisbrough Castle Visitor Assistant, you will join an amazing team of employees and volunteers, making sure visitors have a great time from the moment they arrive until they say goodbye. This is a varied role and some days will be busy from start to finish, whereas others may be quieter. Through your recommendations, you will help personalise their visit – this could include talking about the benefits of English Heritage membership or recommending things to see and do on site. You will also contribute to making sure your site is accessible, safe and well presented at all times.
Training and support will be provided as part of your induction to the role. Some paid or voluntary experience working with the public may be beneficial. There will be requirement to work weekends and Bank Holidays.
