Perfect Vehicle Preparation are looking for a Vehicle Painter/SMART Repairer to join our team based in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire on a full-time, permanent basis. The role is 45 hours per week with a pay rate of £18 - £19 per hour, depending on experience.

The Vehicle Painter will be a key part of the vehicle cosmetic rectification process, working to a defined customer standard with the skills required to fulfil all aspects of the role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* To carry out the preparation and completion of paintwork to a high standard on a wide variety of makes and models of cars.
* Completing high quality SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Techniques) repairs.
* Knowledge of all necessary SMART techniques associated with body work repair and including panel repair, paint preparation and rectification.
* To mix and match paint for the repair required.
* To work effectively and efficiently in the rectification of car paintwork, meeting the required quality standard and customer expectations.
* Masking off the parts of the vehicle not being painted.
* Prime and prepare vehicles in readiness for spraying.
* Experienced and recognisable skill as a vehicle painter and SMART repairer.
* Ensuring all relevant system / paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
* Understands the needs of both customers and the company and demonstrates this in their work.
* Takes ownership of all aspects of their role, working without close supervision and demonstrating effective self-management.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Able to work as a team, and support and assist colleagues.
* You may be required to undertake other duties to meet business requirements and settings, including working alongside other departments.
* Comply with all Health and Safety instructions and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others who may be working or entering the work area and report all hazards to your line manager.
