Furniture Buyers! We are recruiting for Furniture buyers for an expanding and well established company based in the Plymouth area.
(Very competitive Salary DOE and benefits package). This role will be working Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5.30pm and offers 21 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays), long service awards, cycle to work scheme and a company discount scheme.
As a Furniture Buyer, you will need to work closely with the Head of Buying and will develop relationships with new and existing suppliers whilst ensuring maximum efficiency and value for the business. This is a permanent fulltime role based in the head office in Plymouth.
What your day will look like as a Furniture Buyer:
You will be primarily responsible for maximising sales, margin and profitability within a fast moving and diverse category. Your days will vary from day to day allowing you to have ultimate responsibility for the implementation of the product strategy and ensuring that the business is meeting the customer needs. Using your creative mind and forward way of thinking, you will need to monitor and review competitor, information therefore, you, will need to come up with new ideas to ensure your product offering stays relevant in a changing market. By working with your team you need to play a lead role within reviews, supplier negotiations, promotions and pricing.

Experience Required for the Furniture Buyer role:
1. You will need to have buyer experience and it is essential to have experience within the furniture industry .
2. You will be able to demonstrate awareness of new and upcoming trends.
3. You will have an excellent understanding of the consumer and of the marketplace.
4. You will need to have excellent ability to communicate with various suppliers and employees making you an excellent team player in a fast paced environment.
5. Have an ability to build relationships and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
