Assistant Administrator

We are a friendly multidisciplinary team working with adults who have a learning disability, based at Saffron Ground, covering the East and North Hertfordshire Community.
You will work closely alongside another Assistant Administrator and 2 Senior Administrators in the team to offer full administrative support to the clinicians and other members of our large team.
The role is advertised as 37.5 hours a week, 5 days per week 9am-5pm. The role is fully office based.
Main duties of the job
To provide comprehensive and proactive general administrative and clerical support ensuring that all administrative processes and tasks are undertaken efficiently, effectively and to a high standard, contributing to the smooth running of the office and its overall effectiveness.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE (Grade C or above), or equivalent.
* NVQ level 2 in Business Administration
* Willingness to complete an apprenticeship
* NVQ Level 3 Business Administration
Previous Experience
* Administration experience in a busy office environment
* Experience working as part of a team
Communication Skills
* Able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English
* Good keyboard and IT skills
* Able to provide and receive routine information requiring tact or persuasive skills, considering barriers to understanding (e.g., anxious patients, cultural differences, language or communication difficulties)
Analytical Skills
* Proven ability to work on own initiative, without direct supervision, prioritising and managing own workload.
* Problem solving
Physical Skills
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and patient records
* Car driver (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving), due to the location of the office
* Touch typing

* Low level moving and handling of certain items, e.g., taking delivery of equipment
* Long periods VDU use
Mental Effort
* Articulate, calm, polite and well-motivated, with a positive attitude to customer care
* Maintain good level of concentration despite frequent interruptions
