Classic Car Mechanic / Restoration Technician
1. Location - Guildford, Surrey
2. Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
3. Monday - Friday only!
Are you an experienced Classic Car Technician with a passion for vintage automotive restoration? A well-established and reputable specialist in classic British cars is seeking a skilled professional to join their busy workshop in Guildford, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality restorations in a thorough and professional manner.

Duties:
9. Servicing and maintaining vintage and classic vehicles according to client specifications
10. Diagnosing mechanical faults and overseeing repairs or replacements
11. Rebuilding and restoring components, including carburetors and fuel injection systems
12. Producing detailed time estimates and project costings
13. Maintaining accurate service and repair records
14. Fabricating or repairing parts as needed and testing repaired systems
15. Advising workshop management on complex repair requirements
Requirements:
16. Significant experience working as a Classic Car Technician or Restorer
17. Knowledge of vintage car systems such as carburettors, fuel systems, and straight-six engines
18. Strong understanding of classic car restoration projects, some of which may take months or years to complete
19. A full UK driving licence and own tools
20. An enthusiasm for historic and vintage vehicles, particularly Jaguars
21. City and Guilds Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or Restoration
22. Proven track record of delivering high standards of craftsmanship in the classic automotive environment
