Children's Palliative Care Nurse – 22.5 hours per week
£17,814 per annum (£29,691 FTE) with room to develop and progress through the pay grade banding up to £19,664 per annum (£32,774 FTE) on a competency-based framework.
Keech Hospice are looking for a qualified children's nurse to join our inpatient unit and deliver a high standard of nursing care to the children and their families. You will be working alongside experienced nurses and support workers to make a real difference and help make the most of families cherished time. This role is for two shifts per week, including long days, nights and weekends.
What You Will Do
* Join an incredible team and work hand in hand with colleagues, ensuring our patients and families receive the holistic and medical care they deserve
* Become a valued member of the inpatient team and wider children's service, creating memorable connections with children, young people, families and colleagues forming the foundation of our work
* Be a compassionate advocate for children and families, promoting empowerment and guiding them towards choices and opportunities to improve their quality of life
* Provide high quality palliative and end of life care following symptom management plans
* To plan, deliver and evaluate care plans taking in to account the child and family's needs in a range of settings
What You Need To Do It
* RSCN qualification
* Knowledge of palliative care principles
* Knowledge of loss, bereavement and child protection
* Good interpersonal and time management skills
* One year post registration relevant experience
