Mechanical Fitter - Telford We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to be based at our client's Telford facility. You will be an essential part of the team responsible for the assembly and set-to-work of high-quality, handling systems. Working hours: Mon-Thu 08:00-16:45 / Fri 08:00-12:00 Pay: £17.50 - £18.34 + OT Start Date: The client is looking to get the successful candidate started in January Key Responsibilities of a Mechanical Fitter/Tester: • Fitting and assembling machine component parts. • Installing hydraulic components and pipework on machines. • Reading and understanding engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics. • Operating manual and power tools. • Completing fitting work from supplied drawings. • Working to tight time schedules and producing a high-quality end product. • Assisting with forklift and overhead crane operations when required. • Being flexible for regularly required overtime, often at short notice. Qualifications: Preferably a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering plus satisfactory completion of a relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
