HOURS: 37.5 Hours – 5 Days
SALARY RANGE: £30,000 – £32,000
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team in a bustling stadium restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and leading the culinary team to success.
KEY OBJECTIVES
* Assist the Head Chef and Exec Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations from preparation to service.
* Ensure all dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards and recipes.
* Supervise kitchen staff, including training, mentoring, and scheduling.
* Maintain inventory and control food costs.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and development.
* Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
* Handle any issues that arise and provide solutions swiftly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (KPIs)
* Ensure that a 5-star E.H.O & GOLD rating DDS standard of cleanliness is maintained in all kitchen operations at all times.
* Ensure that all H.A.C.C.P forms are completed weekly.
* Support the achievement of budgeted food GP by ensuring stock is rotated & wastage is minimised.
Essential Skills
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-quality restaurant environment, with expertise in high volume turnover, particularly in the event industry.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques.
* Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Desirable Skills
* Food Safety Level 3
