Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join our Holborn office. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of contentious matters, provide strategic legal advice, and contribute to the continued growth of the litigation department.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception to conclusion.
* Handle a broad range of disputes, including (but not limited to):
* Civil litigation
* Commercial disputes
* Landlord and tenant matters
* Debt recovery
* Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
* Conduct legal research and provide clear, practical advice to clients.
* Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
* Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural rules, and firm policies.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records using the firm’s case management system.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Assist with business development and networking initiatives where appropriate.
Skills and Experience
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 2–5 years PQE (flexible depending on experience).
* Strong experience in handling litigation matters independently.
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
* Good knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and client care skills.
Desirable
* Experience working in a high-volume legal environment.
* Familiarity with LEAP or other case management systems.
* Previous experience supervising junior staff or paralegals.
Working Hours
* Full-time, 5 days a week (office-based).
