What is the opportunity?This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Business and Client Services team on a 6-month fixed term contract or secondment. This team supports both RBC Europe Ltd and RBC London Branch Equities and Fixed Income sales support functions.The Senior Analyst role ensures that all daily tasks / controls are completed in line with departmental procedures, whilst also assisting the Associate Director / Director on projects, process improvements or new business initiatives.RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely.What will you do?
1. Investigate processing issues and recommend a course of action to the Team Associate Director/Director, assisting in the execution of proposed changes.
2. Monitor Middle Office systems (Salesbook, GBOI) and exceptions.
3. Be responsible for booking all allocations of Block trades, including CTM, FIX, voice, ALEX, GTC, ECN.
4. Ensure all relevant reports and reconciliations are performed, breaks are notated and cleared, then passed for sign off.
5. Monitor shared mailboxes and actioning enquiries.
6. Provide best in class client services to both internal and external clients, by ensuring their queries are responded to within agreed timeframes.
7. To be a point of contact for the Sales/Trade teams and Settlements.
8. Escalate unusual behaviour, as well as any processing issues to the Associate Director or above, in a timely manner following the Operations Escalation Policy.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
9. Proven experience within Sales Support within an operations environment.
10. Strong knowledge of Equity & Fixed Income products and processes.
11. Excellent knowledge of external market systems, such as CTM / Alert / Bloomberg.
12. Meticulous attention to detail.
13. Effective Communicator, both verbal and written.
Nice-to-have
14. Experience in Gloss and knowledges of settlements processes.
