An established events organisation is expanding the team and seeks an experienced sponsorship sales person to drive new business for their upcoming event in Europe. This role requires a proactive 'hunter' mentality, skilled in securing new partnerships and deals. You'll excel at independent lead generation, leveraging insights and building new relationships to expand the client base.
This is an opportunity where there is loads of scope for achieving targets and being rewarded well in commission as a result. It's in an enjoyable, relatable B2B sector. You will ideally have an interest in new technology.
Responsibilities:
* Achieve Sales Goals: Meet or exceed individual sales targets.
* Identify and Convert Opportunities: Proactively seek and close new business prospects.
* Entrepreneurial: Use various methods to identify growth areas and key prospects.
* Manage Client Relationships: Build strong connections with tech providers, from startups to industry leaders.
* Lead Generation: Independently source leads through networking and research.
* Customer Engagement: Respond promptly to inquiries and manage customer interactions effectively.
* CRM Management: Utilise internal systems to track and report activities accurately.
* End-to-End Customer Experience: Oversee client engagement from initial contact to event participation.
* Collaboration and Industry Awareness: Work closely with colleagues and stay informed about industry trends.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in sales roles, preferably in events or related fields such as SaaS, BI or Media sales.
* Goal-Oriented: Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Business Development Skills: Strong ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
* Closing Skills: Proven ability to close deals within deadlines.
