Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Administration Assistant to join our growing team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week, flexible across 3–5 days). This role will support our financial administration and bookkeeping processes, including managing invoices, purchase orders, and other office duties.
Training will be provided on our systems, including Xero accounting software. Prior experience with Xero is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial Manager, with additional support from our external accounting partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, eager to learn, and interested in developing their finance and administration skills. As the company grows, there may be opportunities to increase hours and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process, scan, and upload incoming invoices (email and postal).
* Create, issue, and track purchase orders through to payment.
* Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
* Provide support with bookkeeping and financial tasks.
* Liaise with our accounting firm to provide requested information.
* Support the Commercial Manager with general office and finance administration duties.
Requirements:
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Good IT skills and willingness to learn new systems.
* Proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
* Previous experience in finance, bookkeeping, or office administration is an advantage.
* Experience with Xero accounting software is desirable, but not essential (training provided).
Working Hours & Salary:
* Part-time: 20 hours per week (flexible across 3, 4, or 5 days).
* Potential to increase hours as the company grows.
* Salary: £13,000 – £17,000 per year (depending on experience).
