Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Web Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience (UX) design, be proficient in Figma and prototyping, and possess excellent communication skills. This hybrid role requires the individual to work in the office at least three days a week, collaborating closely with our design team, project managers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Interaction: Confidently present and explain design concepts and decisions to clients, emphasising user experience and adherence to brand guidelines.
2. Design Excellence: Create custom, high-quality web designs that are visually appealing and functional, ensuring they align with client objectives and brand identity.
3. Prototyping: Utilise Figma to develop interactive prototypes that bring design concepts to life and allow for client feedback and iteration.
4. Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, maintaining clear and open communication with colleagues and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
5. Project Management: Partner with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope, using our project management system to track progress and meet deadlines.
6. Industry Trends: Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to continually enhance your skills and bring fresh ideas to the team.
Skill Requirements
1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in web design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centric designs and successful client projects.
2. Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Figma, including experience with interactive prototyping and design systems as well as comprehensive knowledge of the Adobe Suite.
3. Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate design decisions and concepts to clients and team members, both verbally, in writing, and through video recordings. Must be confident speaking on camera.
4. Team Player: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers and other designers.
5. Time Management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
6. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of current web design trends, UX best practices, and emerging technologies.
