WSP has a vacant position for a Cyber Security Consultant to join our industry-leading Cyber Security Capability team, delivering specialist cyber security services to a wide spectrum of industries. You will contribute to the capability of our team providing cyber security and strategy advice, technical assurance, solution guidance, specification, design, and testing assurance to our domestic and international clients. You will provide technical consultancy services in close alignment with client needs and lead WSP’s cyber security deliverables through the lifecycle of OT/IT development and Digital Transformation projects. You will also provide strategic advice across our client spectrum as part of your delivery and growth role.
What you will do
* Advise the client on Cyber Security compliance especially in regard to NIS-D, NIST, ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443 and other relevant industry standards and best practices
* Develop a framework for governance as well as Cyber Security and Information Security Management systems
* Analyse Cyber Security controls, comment on an architecture proposal and conduct Threat and Risk assessments
* Perform Cyber Security requirements analysis and tailor them to the client’s needs
* Understand business and technical requirements and translate them into tangible actions
* Collaborate with clients, government agencies, partners and supply chain to define technical and procedural solutions to complex problems
* Work across projects to support the delivery of best practice Cyber Security
* Present to clients our Cyber Security services and define the best possible way to support them with challenges in Digital Resilience
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate
* Expertise in OT, IT and IoT/IIoT cyber security
* Industry-specific experience of applied cyber security in sectors such as Energy, Healthcare, Smart Infrastructure/Buildings, Aviation, Maritime, etc.
* Team leadership skills and experience developing early career professionals
* Knowledge of Government Frameworks
* Experience writing proposals in collaboration with the sales team
* Experience with Telecoms, SCADA, mission critical, safety critical or big data architectures
* Threat modelling, Vulnerability analysis, Risk matrix modelling
* Secure DevOps and secure systems engineering lifecycle
* Security policy and governance
* Cloud Security including OT in the Cloud
* Incident Management frameworks, security incident analysis, digital forensics, crisis management, SOC operations and supporting tools
* Practical experience with cyber security platforms/tooling including IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR/MDR and system/device hardening would be advantageous
Experience and qualifications
* OT/IT or electronics engineering/systems background with consultancy or supplier experience; proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with clients and partners in a Cyber Security environment
* Sound knowledge of risk assessment methodologies in systems and software development (including Agile, ITIL and V-model processes) and ability to combine them for optimal solutions
* Experience authoring and publishing technical reports, advising clients, and working with formal security frameworks such as ISA/IEC 62443 and NCSC CAF
* Ability to define new services and offers for clients needing Cyber Security guidance and support
* Strong client-facing communications skills, both written and spoken; experience in a consultancy, pre-sales or security engineering role is an advantage
* Degree in engineering, computer science or other technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience; Chartered engineer or Cyber Security professional registration is highly recommended
