We are looking for flexible and confident Prison Careers Adviser (CIAG Adviser / FRT) to work with offenders in custody and help them prepare for employment on release from prison. You will be allocated a central base of work (in Nottingham or Leicester), but will need to work at different prison sites when cover is needed. We pay your excess mileage expenses at 55p a mile.
If you have experience working with offenders or other disadvantaged groups and want to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
The job involves working with prisoners to prepare them for a new life on release and break the cycle of reoffending.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to individuals and communities.
We are especially looking for applicants with experience helping offenders or vulnerable groups progress in their lives. If you can connect with people to support their development, work in a prison environment, adhere to quality and compliance standards, and work towards individual targets, we want to hear from you.
We will provide all necessary training, including funding for the IAG Level 4 qualification if you do not already have it. Our team is supportive and friendly to help new starters settle into their roles.
The contract requires a 37.5-hour workweek, with flexitime available, allowing you to take back hours when extra work is done. This is a great benefit of working for Career Connect.
