Sessional Tutor - Maths / Physics

Salary: £39.72 per hour plus holiday pay
We are looking for a Sessional Tutor to join our team at the University of Liverpool International College.
As a Sessional Tutor for Maths / Physics your role would involve:
1. Preparing and delivering modules in Social Sciences to international students studying on programmes offered by the College.
2. Assisting with the development of module.
3. Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, including re-sit examinations, marking and providing feedback to students.
4. Participating in standardisation and moderation processes, including double marking.
5. Assisting with the development and maintenance of the College’s virtual learning environment (VLE), and facilitating student access to same.
6. Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process.
7. Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths or Physics Tutor, who is looking to expand their skills.

What you’ll bring to the role
8. Experience of teaching to post-16 students (a teaching qualification would be an advantage);
9. The ability to plan, deliver and review a range of learning activities that guide and support students to achieve and flourish;
10. The ability to develop and update innovative teaching material that engages all students;
11. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a range of different teams in order to continually improve the student experience;
12. Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
13. A strong commitment to continuous professional development and a proven track record of using this to enhance the student experience;
14. Demonstrable experience of using technology to inform teaching practice and a willingness to embrace innovation;
15. A post-graduate qualification but strong first degree or relevant professional experience will be considered.
