Role Overview
An experienced Urgent Care Practitioner will join our team at Malton Urgent Treatment Centre. You will be a highly motivated, flexible, reliable and friendly individual passionate about patient care, capable of communicating effectively with clinicians, patients and support staff. You will work autonomously providing safe, effective clinical decision‑making and expert quality care, including assessment, diagnosis, clinical management and evaluation to the local population.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as an independent practitioner within professional boundaries and work autonomously.
* Deliver safe, effective clinical decision‑making and expert quality care, including assessment, diagnosis, clinical management and evaluation.
* Take complete history and perform clinical examination to diagnose and implement treatment for patients presenting with varied conditions.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment, discharge patients or refer to a specialist as necessary.
* Promote health and well‑being, give health advice and education, and mentor other staff members and nursing students.
* Maintain and update local policies and procedures, keep up to date with skills and competencies, and develop and participate in clinical research.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experienced Urgent Care Practitioner with qualification in minor illnesses and injuries.
* Non‑medical prescriber or willingness to undertake non‑medical prescribing course within the first year.
* Applications from paramedic and allied health professional colleagues are welcome.
