Quality Coordinator Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm Wigan £30,000 My client, who is a leading manufacturer within polymers and synthetic resins, is seeking a Quality Coordinator to join their team. Job Purpose The primary purpose of the Quality Coordinator is to support the Quality Manager in ensuring the company remains compliant with current quality standards. This includes maintaining accurate and accessible documentation to support the Quality Management System (QMS). The role also involves supporting investigations into non-compliance, effectively recording activities and outcomes, and ensuring that all occurrences raised through the QMS are addressed efficiently and appropriately. The Quality Coordinator will contribute to the company's continuous improvement efforts. This position requires building strong relationships with operational teams and working closely with Production, QC, and R&D departments. The Quality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that quality control processes are implemented and followed, and that corrective actions are taken when issues arise. Responsibilities Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner Work in accordance with procedures defined in the Quality Management System and Management Review decisions Support the internal audit schedule Assist in organising and preparing data for non-conformance reviews, including customer complaints and process non-conformances, and monitor QMS objectives Collaborate with the Production team to establish and maintain quality standards Monitor and analyse quality performance data Collect and analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement Document, track, and report on quality actions and outcomes Coordinate and manage corrective actions when quality issues arise Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement Ensure all products and services meet required quality standards Immediately report any incidents requiring management attention using the appropriate systems Respond to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in a timely manner Ensure all quality-related activities comply with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality management systems Skills / Knowledge / Experience Essential Proven experience in a Quality Coordinator, Quality Assurance, or similar role Knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices Experience with product testing and quality control systems Strong verbal and written communication skills Good analytical and problem-solving skills (e.g., 5 Whys, 8D, Ishikawa, CAPA) Strong attention to detail, including housekeeping standards Good knowledge of documentation practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong organisational and decision-making skills Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics Ability to investigate, research, and manage information effectively Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships Professional communication skills across all levels Strong work ethic Desirable Chemical industry knowledge or experience Understanding of sampling and product testing methods Familiarity with management systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) Understanding of chemical processes Experience with process and product auditing Benefits 28 days - includes bank holiday entitlement Company Pension - Company contributes 3% and the employee contributes 5% Healthcare - Eligible for BUPA cover after 6 months probationary period Please contact Marie Brisson at Winsearch UK for further information - (url removed) Winsearch acts as an employment agency for permanent staff.
