An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Logistics Coordinator to join our Operations team in Warrington. The right candidate will have a proven track record of managing demanding and rapidly changing issues within our fleet, with experience in the mail, parcels, and courier market preferred but not essential.
Job Overview
Tracking and monitoring vehicle routes using transport management systems, escalating and re-planning when issues occur, and reporting back to customers and internal teams.
Main Duties
1. Use mapping and route tracking systems to monitor service levels against the daily plan.
2. Utilize TMS to view plans and query deviations such as route order or missed stops.
3. Track route status, with high-risk routes monitored more frequently.
4. Escalate risk routes and inform clients of reforecasted collection times.
5. Prioritize high-risk routes or routes for new clients.
6. Report tracking issues and audit vehicle tracking and sat-navs.
7. Update clients via email or phone about collection changes.
8. Respond promptly and professionally to inbound client service requests.
9. Assist the operations team with additional tasks as required.
10. Book collections for additional requests in the evening.
11. Submit evening reports within the designated timeframe.
12. Build operational relationships with clients and mailing houses for efficient service.
13. Liaise with Business Managers and Client Services about issues or delays.
About You
1. Geographical aptitude is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
2. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring compliance and maintaining customer service levels.
3. Experience in customer service telephone interactions.
4. Strong organizational skills to manage workload effectively.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office systems.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, polite and professional.
