Sexual Offence Examiner-Cumbria - 24 Hours
We're seeking caring and compassionate nurses (RGNs) to join us as Sexual Offence Examiners, providing holistic care and support to victims of sexual assault.
Main duties of the job
The Sexual Offence Examiner will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Providing telephone advice to patients and colleagues.
* Undertaking holistic assessments, including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
* Using a camera system to document injuries.
* Sharing information where appropriate.
* Supporting quality improvement of the service.
* Conducting forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.

Job responsibilities
This role offers an alternative nursing career path, focusing on forensic and acute health needs in a dedicated 24/7 service at SARCs.
Position: 24 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts from 9am-9pm, across all days of the week.
Salary: £43,005.07 FTE (40 hours pro-rata).
Travel may be required across SARCs; a UK driving license is essential.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Paramedic with NMC pin, RGN
* Full UK driving license
* Pre-employment checks including DBS, references, and police vetting
Experience
* At least 3 years in acute medical healthcare post-qualification
* Experience with vulnerable adults and children
* Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality
