Band 7 Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist working within the Vascular and Surgery Team.
Main case load is with the Vascular cohort on Chesleden Ward.
This involves the assessment and treatment and early rehabilitation of predominantly lower limb amputees and a wider Surgery and Trauma cohort. Ensure standards of excellent clinical practice are upheld and undertake responsibility to ensure adequate training has been completed by all members of the team.
Be responsible for the delegation of duties to the Therapy Technician and junior Therapists. Deliver training to ensure team members are adequately equipped to carry out assigned tasks.
Attend and chair meetings relevant to the patient care and discharge planning for patients admitted under Vascular and Surgery.

This role offer the benefit to develop the postholder's clinical skills through training and development; here at St George's as well as with the Amputee Rehab Centre at Queen Mary's Hospital.
