A friendly primary school in Swansea is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant who brings patience, energy, and genuine care into the classroom. You’ll be part of the school day from morning register to home time — supporting learning, encouraging confidence, and helping children feel safe, seen, and supported.
Who This Role Is Perfect For
You don’t need classroom experience. If you’ve worked with children or young people in any meaningful way, your skills are valuable here.
This role suits people with experience in:
Childcare, early years, or nursery settings
Health & Social Care or support work
Youth work, mentoring, or sports coaching
Teaching Assistant or HLTA roles
Degrees in Sociology, Social Work, Education, or Childcare

⏰ Hours, Pay & Time Off
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
School holidays: All weekends, half terms & summer holidays off
Daily pay: From £89.38 per day
What Your Days Will Look Like
No two days are the same — but most will include:
Supporting pupils during lessons by breaking down tasks and encouraging participation
Working one-to-one or in small groups with children who need extra reassurance or focus
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs (SEN)
Helping prepare learning materials, displays, and activities
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Supervising children during break times and transitions
Sharing observations with the class teacher to support progress and wellbeing
You’ll be a calm, consistent presence — someone children trust and teachers rely on.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
