We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant with strong IFRS 15 and revenue recognition expertise to support a short-term finance project.
This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust variance analysis, and effective budgeting within a complex, ERP-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Apply IFRS 15 principles to ensure accurate revenue recognition
Review and analyse project revenue, costs, and margins
Perform detailed variance analysis (actuals vs budgets and forecasts)
Support month-end close activities related to project accounting
Prepare and review financial reports for stakeholders
Partner with project managers and finance teams to improve financial control
Work within and extract data from a large ERP system
Identify and resolve revenue and cost discrepancies
Support ad-hoc finance and project work as required
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Accountant
Strong working knowledge of IFRS 15 S
Experience in revenue recognition
Demonstrable expertise in variance analysis and actual vs budget reporting
Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
Experience working with large ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA/ QBE )
