A day in the life of a Murphy Plant Logistics Planner
* Assess and allocate work requests from stakeholders using transport management software, ensuring efficient distribution.
* Plan and organize work requests to ensure safety, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
* Maintain fleet schedules, overseeing and updating them to optimize operational efficiency.
* Monitor driver activities during shifts to ensure smooth operations and address issues promptly.
* Resolve customer and driver queries related to work requests.
* Prepare, maintain, and update transport data and management information in accordance with company software requirements.
* Provide excellent customer service in all communications, fostering positive relationships.
* Manage filing systems for easy retrieval of documents.
* Handle financial duties, including processing invoices and tracking costs for budget control.
* Collaborate with the SHES department to promote best practices in health, safety, and environmental matters.
* Ensure compliance with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System and maintain safety standards.
* Report Health & Safety incidents promptly following the Group’s procedures.
* Uphold quality standards in line with the Quality System requirements.
Are you interested? Does this sound like you?
* Experience in HGV transport planning, including abnormal loads.
* Knowledge of construction plant and equipment within the construction industry.
* Experience with asset management software, route planning, and driver tachograph software is preferred.
* Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and fleet telematics.
