Job Description
The Warehouse Facilities Manager oversees daily maintenance and overall management of the warehouse facility. This role ensures a safe, well-maintained environment, complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The manager collaborates with automation, operations, and management teams to maintain and improve the facility to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Management:
* Oversee maintenance of HVAC, sprinkler, lighting, security, electrical systems, and building infrastructure, ensuring a robust reporting process.
* Maintain all warehouse areas, including office spaces.
* Manage contractors and vendors for repairs, renovations, and services.
* Review and support preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
* Support other warehouse facilities across the UK as needed.
* Ensure high standards of cleaning and maintenance with the team, maintaining a technical cleaning process.
* Implement and improve the CMMS system.
Warehouse Operations:
* Optimize storage solutions for space utilization.
* Ensure warehouse equipment is safe and properly maintained.
* Implement safety protocols, signage, and drills.
Team Management:
* Lead and manage teams, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and foster a positive environment.
* Set clear objectives aligned with business goals and conduct regular reviews.
* Provide safety and operational training.
Safety & Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
* Investigate incidents, report findings, and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain records of inspections and certifications.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
* Manage facilities budget, including maintenance, repairs, and capital expenditures.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Negotiate contracts with vendors.
* Promote continuous improvement and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications
What we are looking for?
* 5+ years in facilities management, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and safety regulations.
* Familiarity with building systems and maintenance.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
