We are currently looking for multiple switchboard operators for an NHS client of ours based in the Exeter area.
These roles are initially 3 months but could go permanent for the right person.
The roles are full time hours per week.
Pay is Band 3- Band 4 depending on experience. £12,00 - £ per hour.
We are seeking full time Operators to join our friendly, busy Switchboard team.
As a team member you will actively contribute to the overall efficient and professional handling of internal and external calls, responding in a timely, polite and often sensitive manner.
The post will also involve responding to all types of emergencies as per defined procedures.
We provide a 24/7, 365 days a year service so you will need to have a flexible approach to working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Your new role
The Tels Department supply tel services to all NHS users, this provides telephony to over 4000 internal extensions via our existing telephone system.
In addition to maintaining these extensions the department manage over 600 mobile phones, 900 bleeps, 500 radio pagers and numerous tel Switch Board is a key function of this department and on average handle 28,000 calls iing and outgoing, every day of the year 24hours a day.
The team also act as the central contact in many emergency situations, co-ordinating services and centralmunications.Switchboard are the first point of contact to patients and family members alike and as such require professional handling in an efficient and timely taxis as required for Trust patients etc. as authorised
What you'll need to succeed
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).Goodmunication skills, both written & verbal
