Compliance Solicitor (COLP) Location: Liverpool (Multi-Office Law Firm) Salary: Competitive Benefits Full-Time | Permanent A well-established and growing multi-office law firm in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Compliance Solicitor (COLP) to join its senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role within the business, offering the opportunity to shape and strengthen the firm’s regulatory framework while supporting continued growth. The Role As Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP), you will take overall responsibility for the firm’s regulatory compliance and risk management function. Working closely with the Board and senior management, you will ensure adherence to SRA regulations and promote a strong culture of compliance across all offices. Key responsibilities include: Acting as the firm’s designated COLP in accordance with SRA requirements Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the SRA Standards and Regulations Developing, implementing, and maintaining firm-wide compliance policies and procedures Managing risk assessments and regulatory reporting obligations Handling complaints, claims, and liaising with insurers where required Delivering training to staff on compliance, risk, and regulatory updates Advising partners and senior management on regulatory matters and best practice Supporting audits and file reviews across multiple office locationsAbout You Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales Significant experience in legal compliance and regulatory matters Previous experience as COLP (or ready to step into the role) Strong working knowledge of SRA Standards and Regulations Confident communicator with the ability to influence at Partner level Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Commercially aware with a pragmatic approach to riskThe Firm This is a respected, forward-thinking firm with multiple offices across the region.
