Overview
St Nicholas C of E Primary School, Kenilworth, is looking for an excellent class teacher to join our friendly staff team. The role is 0.6 Part-Time Year 5 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover), working Wednesday to Friday, with start from January 2026 and a fixed term to December 2026. This post is suitable for main scale teachers.
Responsibilities
* Be a qualified teacher
* Have experience of working in Key Stage 2
* Be enthusiastic, hardworking, resourceful and keen to ensure the highest standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being
* Have high expectations of the children’s learning and behaviour and be committed to raising standards and promoting pupils’ wellbeing
* Be skilled at tailoring and adapting learning to meet the needs of individual pupils
* Use their initiative and work effectively as part of a team
* Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for their children
* Will champion an area or subject within the curriculum
* Possess a positive, energetic and enthusiastic outlook
* Demonstrate patience, understanding and empathy with pupils and parents, and be committed to continuing professional development for themselves and others
