This is a job share post comprising 15 hours per week, covering Monday and Tuesday in the Safeguarding and Education Team. This is a permanent post.
The Safeguarding in Education Team sits within the Directorate of Children, Families and Schools as part of the Children, Young People, Education and Schools service area. The primary role of this established team is to support educational establishments within the local authority area to safeguard and protect children and young people.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join and support this team by providing a wide range of administrative support. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to providing a high-quality service, have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. To undertake this role successfully you should be able to work easily within a challenging environment, have excellent administrative and organisational skills and have the motivation and desire to achieve a high-quality service. You should have excellent IT skills and have working knowledge of a range of IT systems / software packages.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
A high level of customer service is required as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive material. Teamwork plays a vital role as does the ability to meet deadlines and work on your own initiative. Start date to be agreed
