Practitioner for Early Intervention in Psychosis Service
Are you a registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker looking to be part of a motivated, professional, and committed multi-disciplinary team? The Early Intervention Service, which works with individuals who have a range of psychosis-related problems, is looking for a Practitioner to join.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00 role based at Hillcrest Ensbury Park. Part-time applications would be considered, with opportunities for flexible working. Being a driver is essential for this role.
Main duties of the job
You will promote and participate in the multi-disciplinary assessment and development of treatment/care programmes and reviews.
Administration of medication, ensuring compliance with nursing responsibilities under the Medicines Act (1971), the local care of Drugs policy, and other relevant Trust clinical procedures (according to clinical registration).
Act as a Care Co-ordinator and fully implement and adhere to the Trust policies on Integrated CPA and Risk Assessment.
Deliver specialist interventions, i.e., Family Interventions or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis CBTp (according to skills).

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
* Registered Mental Health Nurse/ OT/Social Worker, Valid Registration with the appropriate professional body e.g. NMC/SWE/HCPC
Experience
* Relevant experience working with clients with psychosis in Adult and or CAMHs services
* Knowledge of current primary care issues
SKILLS, ABILITIES &KNOWLEDGE
* Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of care.
* The ability to: prioritise & meet deadlines; organise work of self and others; supervising, teaching & assessing; self-motivated with the ability to motivate others; effective resource management.
* Skills in managing complex cases.
* Understanding of current policy and guidance relating to Early Intervention in Psychosis services.
PERSONAL QUALITIES/ATTRIBUTES
* Able to communicate effectively at different levels of the organisation and with staff, patient/service users, visitors, or external organisations both verbally and in writing in the exchange of highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information which may require the use of negotiating and/or persuasive skills.
* Able to analyse and assess situations and to interpret potentially conflicting situations and determine appropriate action, where there is a range of options and judgement is required.
* Able to overcome barriers to understanding where there are physical or mental disabilities.
