We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
1. Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural, friendly service.
2. Encouraging customers to give feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
3. Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
4. Applying training to ensure safe working practices.
5. Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
6. Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
7. Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
8. Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment for hours worked.
9. Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment to keep everyone safe.
10. Adhering to the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
11. Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining actions to customers.
12. Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
13. Potentially running shifts in the absence of supervisors.
14. Following all training to ensure safety, legality, and store standards.
15. If applicable, duties will include managing the Post Office operations, which requires passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
